A young woman has levelled allegations of misbehaviour and manhandling against councillor Harishankar Chatria of Ward no- 19 of Bolangir municipality on Wednesday night.
As alleged by the woman, Chatria had an argument on Wednesday with her and her family over a past enmity. Getting furious during the quarrel, Chatria pushed her and misbehaved with her using slang.
A complaint has been registered on Thursday regarding the incident at Bolangir Model Police Station based on the woman's complaint.
On the other hand, Chatria has filed a counter-complaint against the woman and her family at Town Police Station.
"The complaint filed against me is completely false. In my political career of 30 years, I have never misbehaved with anyone. I am dedicated to serving the people of Bolangir and the people in my ward round the clock," said Chatria.
