Even though Odisha has been gradually improving in several parameters, including daily case count, test positivity rate and spread of Covid-19 infection, the unabated spike in fatalities due to the disease continues to haunt the State.

On Wednesday, the State Health Department reported deaths of as many as 65 patients who were tested positive for the virus. The total death cases in the State have now climbed up to 4,795. The State had recorded highest-ever 68 deaths on July 13.
