Rewa (MP): A Class X boy, a relative of a leading city-based lawyer, was shot dead by a group of persons here, police said today.
Harsh, grandson of lawyer Ghanshyam Singh, was attacked on Saturday evening when he was standing near a photocopy shop in busy Subhash Chowk area, they said.
Harsh was returning from his tuition class. As he stopped at the shop, five-six persons, led by one Kuldip Patel, reached there and shot in his head from a close range before escaping, police said.
He was immediately rushed to the Sanjay Gandhi Government Hospital from where he was referred to Allahabad, but succumbed to injuries enroute, they said.
The reason for the murder was not yet clear, police said, adding a case has been registered and further investigations are on.
