In a devastating road mishap, three persons were killed after their car rammed into a truck on National Highway 57 near Pitapalli Chhak under the jurisdiction of the Info valley police station, near Khordha, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. The impact of the collision was so intense that two of the occupants in the car succumbed to the injuries on the spot.

The third person seated in the car was rescued in a critical condition and rushed to the local hospital. However, he also succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. On being informed, police rushed to the spot and cleared the road.

The collision occurred when the car, carrying residents from the Chandrapur area in Puri, crashed into the lorry from behind late Friday night. Despite efforts from emergency responders, the victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Identity of Deceased Ascertained:

The deceased have been identified as Bishwa Chetan Mishra, Bishwaranjan Sethi, and Prashant Pradhan, all hailing from the Chandanpur locality in Puri district. The collision occurred when the three were travelling from Bhubaneswar to Khodha.

Local Police Action:

Local police promptly informed the families of the deceased, who later arrived at the accident site. 

Till the last report came in, authorities were conducting a thorough investigation to determine the precise cause of the accident, including any possible driver error or mechanical failure.
