IT firm CEO, executive offer lift to colleague, assaults her in moving car

 A manager of an IT company was allegedly gang-raped in a moving car by the company’s CEO and two others in Rajasthan’s Udaipur on Wednesday.

According to police, the incident occurred after a party held at a private hotel on December 20. The victim reportedly arrived at the party around 9 pm, which continued until about 1.30 am.

After the party, the woman was offered a lift by the company’s CEO, a female executive, and the executive’s husband. During the journey, she was allegedly given a smoking substance, following which she lost consciousness.

The victim stated that she partially regained consciousness to find the CEO molesting her, after which all three accused sexually assaulted her. She was dropped home around 5 am. Upon fully regaining consciousness, she found that her earring, socks, and undergarments were missing and noticed injuries on her private parts.

The woman lodged a police complaint the next morning, leading to the registration of a case against the three accused. Police later arrested the company’s CEO, the co-accused, and his wife. The medical examination confirmed injury marks, indicating prima facie evidence of gang rape.

The investigation has been handed over to Additional Superintendent of Police Madhuri Verma. Police are also examining audio and video recordings from a dashcam installed in the car to further the probe. The accused have been produced before a court, and further legal proceedings are underway.
