In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Vivek recalled his early knack for business. He revealed that he earned his first big amount before he even entered adulthood. He said he had been financially independent since the age of 15 and remembered the moment he first hit the Rs 1-crore milestone.

“It was from trading, and I knew how to save. It wasn’t cash but in stock value,” said the Spirit actor.

A Family History That Shaped His Drive

Vivek also reflected on his family’s past—how they once owned palatial properties before Partition but later had to rebuild their lives from scratch. Growing up with these stories instilled in him the belief that wealth must be self-made, not inherited.

Life in Dubai and the Power of the NRI Economy

After shifting base to Dubai with his family, Vivek says he gained a new perspective on the impact of Indians abroad.

“NRIs contribute 136 billion dollars a year. The trade reserve that India has, half of that is made up by the money that NRIs contribute,” he claimed.

He further shared that over the last decade, he has raised almost 40 million dollars from the US and UK for charitable causes in India.

Vivek said, “How does it matter? At the end of the day, you have the car and house you like, you buy them, then what else? God has given me enough that many generations of mine can be taken care of.”
