Romance Meets Horror With a Comic Twist

Like Stree, Bhediya, Munjya, and Stree 2, Thamma carries the Maddock stamp of horror blended with humor. But this time, the makers raise the bar with a story that leans heavily on romantic tension wrapped in gothic chills. The mix of jump scares, witty one-liners, and supernatural visuals sets the stage for what could be a genre-defining installment.

For Ayushmann Khurrana, this marks his first dive into the horror space, and his intense transformation hints at a performance full of surprises. Rashmika, too, seems ready to charm and haunt in equal measure.

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, Thamma is being described as “a forgotten legend from our folklore brought to life.” The film is set to release in cinemas worldwide on 21 October 2025, just in time for Diwali celebrations. With its blend of bloody romance, chilling folklore, and Maddock’s signature comic punch, the Thamma trailer sets the stage for what could be one of the most exciting big-screen experiences of the festive season.
