SRK’s Witty Jab at Salman Khan’s Love Life
During a lively moment, SRK took a playful shot at his longtime friend Salman Khan’s much-discussed romantic life. Praising the actors and films of the year, he quipped, “Ek aadmi hai jo apni patni ko dhoondh raha hai, yaha waha, idhar-udhar.”
Continuing with his quick humour, SRK added, “Yeh bhi kamal ki baat hai; Aamir Khan ne Salman bhai ke bare mein picture bana di hai,” referring to Laapataa Ladies, produced by Aamir Khan’s banner and directed by Kiran Rao.
The film, starring Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta and Sparsh Srivastava, tells the story of a newly married couple who lose each other and embark on a heartfelt journey to reunite - a plot SRK humorously tied to Salman’s much-talked-about bachelor status.
A Heartfelt Tribute to the Legend Dilip Kumar
The evening took an emotional turn when SRK paid homage to the late acting legend, Dilip Kumar. Accepting the Cine Icon Award on behalf of Saira Banu, he recalled a cherished personal memory.
Receiving the honour from Jaya Bachchan, SRK shared, “When I first came to Mumbai, Dilip Sahab and Saira ji welcomed me into their home. Dilip Sahab placed his hand on my head and said, ‘Saira, if we had a son, he would have been like this.’ That blessing has stayed with me all my life.”
He went on to express how that blessing became a guiding light throughout his career.

With this emotional speech, SRK called Dilip Kumar the ultimate benchmark for generations of actors, leaving the audience deeply touched.
