After experiencing a considerable drop, the minimum (night) temperature is likely to register an increase in the coming days in Odisha.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that there will be no major change in the minimum temperature in different parts of Odisha during the next two to three days. Moreover, the minimum temperature is likely to rise slightly by two degree Celsius at many places over the districts of Odisha.
As per the IMD, Phulbani recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 10.5 degrees yesterday. The twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar recorded minimum temperature of 15.4 and 16.8 degree Celsius, respectively.
Meanwhile, yesterday’s low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood moved west-northwestwards, concentrated into a well-marked low pressure area over central parts of south Bay of Bengal today.
As per IMD, it is likely to move west-northwestwards and gradually concentrate into a depression over southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours.
“Thereafter, it is very likely to move west-northwestwards towards Tamilnadu-Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh coasts during subsequent two days,” said the IMD.

Rainfall Warning
Light to moderate rainfall is likely to commence from November 20 evening over coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining north Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema.
The intensity of rainfall is likely to increase with light to moderate rainfall at many places and isolated heavy rainfall is likely over North Tamil Nadu-Puducherry and south coastal Andhra Pradesh & Rayalaseema on November 21 and 22 and light to moderate rainfall at a few places over North coastal Andhra Pradesh during the same period.
