More details have emerged in the Chandipur DRDO Espionage case. According to Crime Branch sources, the mysterious female operative had tracked the Integrated Test Range Director’s movement with the help of one of the accused.
Sources said that the female operative had hacked one of the accused Sachin’s mobile phone for 8 months. She reportedly was in touch with the people in Sachin’s contact list as well.
Apart from this, some of the accused had also acquired new SIM cards to communicate with the female operative. The woman used to operate from some foreign country and more investigation is underway to trace the operative. Earlier, the Crime Branch team had taken the five accused on a seven-day remand for further interrogation.
The accused were produced in court on Friday (September 24) after their remand period ended.
