World will witness the historic moment of the ‘pran-pratishtha’ of the idol of Lord Ram in Ayodhya on January 22, and the euphoria over the pious occasion has gripped the entire country. The grand consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir which is all set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, would see thousands of people in attendance. The Ram Mandir is being built at an estimated cost of Rs 1,800 crore. In February 2020, the BJP-led Central govt announced the creation of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The Trust was tasked with the construction and management of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. The trust had been collecting funds through contribution from pilgrims, individuals and different organizations from across the country. In October last year, the Central government allowed the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to receive funds from abroad for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. Till date, the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has received over Rs 3500 crore in donations.
