Meanwhile, Kim has become a social media star in South Korea because of her looks. Kim Denies Killing Victims

Following this, evidence suggests she increased the potency of the sedative mixture after the first victim survived. Later, two subsequent alleged attacks occurred at motels in Seoul’s Suyu-dong area on Jan. 28 and Feb. 9, where the victims consumed similar drinks and died due to the increased potency of the sedative mixtures.

Investigators say Kim utilized social media to lure victims. However, Kim has denied intending to kill her victims, asserting that her aim was merely to put them to sleep. However, law enforcement and forensic experts contend her behaviour, including upping the dosage after an initial failure and not seeking help for victims, indicates a more deliberate pattern.

Prosecutors have since upgraded the charges to murder and are investigating whether additional victims may exist.
