Women’s empowerment is often spoken about in speeches, campaigns, and social media slogans. But sometimes, its truest meaning is found not in words, but in everyday actions. A simple cab ride in Hyderabad recently offered one such powerful reminder, leaving the internet inspired.
Hyderabad-based man Suresh Kochattil shared how what began as an ordinary Uber ride between two media studios turned into a deeply moving experience. After two drivers cancelled his booking, a third ride was assigned. When he noticed the driver’s name was female, curiosity set in about who would arrive.
Meeting a Woman of Grit
The driver, Nandini, arrived behind the wheel and soon began sharing her journey during the ride. Kochattil later shared the incident on social media along with a photograph of her driving. According to his post, Nandini has been driving with Uber for the past year. Originally from Vijayawada, she is a single mother raising three children.
Despite numerous challenges, Nandini works tirelessly every day with one goal in mind ensuring her children receive a good education and a better future. “Here is a wonderful example of how a lady overcame adversity and keeps working hard,” Kochattil wrote.
