An unusual and tense situation unfolded at the Chandrasekharpur Police Station in Bhubaneswar on Friday after a woman allegedly created a ruckus inside the premises while seeking information about an old case.
According to police sources, the woman had visited the police station to inquire about a case she claimed was registered in 2019. Officials on duty reportedly accessed the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) database to verify her claim. However, after checking the records, the Police informed her that no such case was found in the station’s database.
Following this, the woman allegedly became agitated and began verbally abusing the Duty Officer-in-Charge (DCO) and other staff members present at the station. Eyewitnesses said she used obscene language during the altercation, creating a disturbance within the police premises. During the confrontation, she is also accused of slapping one of the personnel on duty.
The incident briefly disrupted normal functioning at the police station. The exact reasons behind her alleged aggressive behaviour and the circumstances that triggered the outburst remain unclear.
