Tragic road mishap in Phulbani: Four dead, woman critically injured

In a tragic road accident, four people lost their lives after two motorcycles collided head-on at Kunduli Chhak under Gochhapada police limits in Kandhamal district’s Phulbani area, on Wednesday. The mishap has sent shockwaves through the area.

Tragic Road Mishap

 According to reports, the accident occurred when two motorcycles travelling in opposite directions crashed at high speed. The impact of the collision was so severe that four people died on the spot. Among the deceased are two young men and a child. A woman also sustained critical injuries in the accident.

 The injured woman was immediately rushed to the Phulbani District Headquarters Hospital for treatment, where she is currently undergoing medical care. Doctors have described her condition as serious.

 Sources said that all the deceased belong to Panga Panchayat under Phiringia police limits in Kandhamal district. The tragic loss has left the families of the victims and residents of the area in deep mourning.

Overspeeding Led To Fatal Mishap

 After receiving information about the incident, Gochhapada police reached the spot and began an investigation. The bodies of the deceased have been seized and will be sent for post-mortem examination as part of the legal process.

 Visuals from the accident site showed both motorcycles completely damaged and scattered across the road due to the force of the collision. Police are now probing the exact cause of the accident, including whether overspeeding or negligence played a role in the fatal mishap.
