Authorities at the CuttackSCB Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday constituted a six-member inquiry committee following an incident in which a female patient reportedly fell from a bed in the Medicine ICU. The move comes amid concerns over patient safety and hospital protocol inside the intensive care unit.

According to official sources, the hospital administration has directed the committee to conduct a detailed investigation into the circumstances leading to the incident and submit its report at the earliest. Professor Dr. Saroj Tripathy, Head of the Department of Medicine, heads the panel.

Committee Includes 2 Associate & 2 Assistant Professors

The committee also includes two Associate Professors and two Assistant Professors, tasked with examining all aspects of the case, including supervision, safety measures, and adherence to ICU protocols.
