Fire in OSRTC Bus Photograph: (OTV)
A major fire broke out in an Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) bus on Thursday near Salur ghat in Koraput, close to Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border.
The vehicle, traveling from Vizianagaram to Jeypore, was completely destroyed in the blaze. Fortunately, all 16 passengers on board managed to escape unharmed.
According to initial reports, the incident occurred around 7:30 am when the bus was on the ghat.
What Led to the Fire?
It is suspected that a short circuit in the electrical system triggered the fire.

Within moments, flames engulfed the vehicle, forcing passengers to jump out to save their lives.
Upon receiving information, the Andhra Pradesh Fire Service rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames, preventing the fire from spreading further.
Local authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
Eyewitnesses said the quick reaction of the driver and the alertness of passengers helped avert a potential tragedy.
