The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has invited online applications for recruitment to 118 posts of Assistant Agriculture Officer under the Odisha Agriculture and Food Production Service. The posts fall under Class-II (Group-B) and come under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Empowerment, Government of Odisha.
As per the requisition furnished by the department, the category-wise vacancy position includes 61 posts under Unreserved, 14 under SEBC, 29 under Scheduled Caste and 14 under Scheduled Tribe categories. Out of the total vacancies, 40 posts are reserved for women candidates.
The online registration and payment of examination fee will begin on January 10, 2026, and close on January 27, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The last date for submission of the registered online application is January 30, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Applications will be accepted only through the OPSC website, and submissions through any other mode will be rejected.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture [B.Sc. (Agriculture)] or Horticulture [B.Sc. (Horticulture)] from a recognised university or institution. No other equivalent qualification will be accepted.
Examination Fee
Candidates belonging to categories other than SC, ST and PwD are required to pay an examination fee of Rs 700 through online mode.
Selection Process
The selection process will consist of a Written Examination followed by a Personality Test (Interview).
Examination Details
The written test, based on an MCQ pattern, is tentatively scheduled to be held on February 19, 2026 (Thursday). The examination centres will be located in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar, with the detailed schedule to be notified later.

The provisional answer key will be published on the Commission’s website within 10 days of the examination, inviting objections from candidates. Those who do not submit objections at this stage will forfeit the right to raise the issue subsequently.
