The event presented an impressive fusion of tradition and modern fashion, drawing wide appreciation from visitors and fashion enthusiasts.
The fashion show was organised by ORMAS in association with Subhadra Shakti with the objective of showcasing Odisha’s age-old handloom heritage through a modern fashion lens. Held at the exhibition ground in Bhubaneswar, the programme offered a unique
platform to highlight the creativity of designers and the exceptional craftsmanship of artisans, while reinforcing the relevance of traditional textiles in present-day lifestyles.
A wide range of handloom and handicraft traditions of the state were showcased during the show. Collections featured elegant Sonepuri handloom fabrics, the distinctive Kotpad textiles, intricate Dhokra handicrafts and the vibrant Dongria embroidery. These traditional art forms were thoughtfully reimagined in contemporary silhouettes and designs, creating a striking balance between heritage and innovation.
