Odisha govt forms committee to review OMSA’s 10-point demands amid protest Photograph: (OTV)
The Odisha Medical Service Association (OMSA) launched protest pressing its 10-point charter of demands.
Reacting to the agitation, Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling said that the state government has constituted a secretary-level committee to examine the doctors’ demands.
The committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Additional Secretary of the General Administration Department and includes the Health Secretary, the Law Department Secretary, and the Finance Department Secretary as members.
The committee will review the demands raised by the doctors’ association and submit a detailed report. Assuring the protesting doctors, the Health Minister said that the government is committed to fulfilling their demands.

"I have hold discussions with OMSA committee on personal level at least twice or thrice. We have also hold official discussions. We have also formed a committee to review all their demands and give proper justice to them. The committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Additional Secretary of the General Administration Department and includes the Health Secretary, the Law Department Secretary, and the Finance Department Secretary as members. Their demands are being considered and I am in touch with the committee. We will try to fulfil their justified demands in coming days," said Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling.
