In a major push towards expanding government workforce and empowering youth, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Tuesday handed over appointment letters to 7,293 newly recruited candidates under a massive Employment and Training Programme at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
The initiative marks one of the state’s largest multi-departmental recruitment drives in recent years.
Recruitment Across 12 Departments
The appointments span across 12 crucial government sectors, including School and Mass Education, Forest, Agriculture, Fisheries, Commerce & Transport, Labour, and several others. The large-scale hiring aims to strengthen service delivery, increase departmental efficiency, and address staffing gaps across Odisha.
Officials highlighted that this recruitment drive aligns with the government’s commitment to enhance public services and create structured employment opportunities for Odisha’s youth.
A Boost to Youth Empowerment
With thousands of young candidates receiving formal employment, the initiative is expected to have a positive impact on livelihoods, rural development, and state administration. Many recruits will also undergo specialised training programmes to ensure skill enhancement and smooth departmental integration.
A Step Toward a Skilled, Employed Odisha
As Odisha continues to prioritise job creation, today's mega recruitment event stands as a significant milestone under Odisha government. For 7,293 families, this marks a new beginning, one that promises stability, growth, and a stronger future workforce for the state.
