Odia music director and singer Abhijit Majumdar recovering steadily

In good news for the music lovers across Odisha, popular Odia music director and playback singer Abhijit Majumdar is gradually recovering. He is currently admitted to the medicine ward of AIIMS Bhubaneswar.

Majumdar was admitted to the ICU in a critical condition on September 4. On October 23, he was shifted out of the ICU and moved to the General Medicine Ward. A dedicated team of doctors is continuously monitoring his health.

He had been hospitalised due to a severe lung infection, along with complications arising from multiple other ailments. AIIMS has also issued a health bulletin regarding his condition, stating that he is showing steady improvement.

Majumdar is now able to open his eyes, respond to doctors, and engage in brief communication, doctors confirmed. He is also able to interact with his family members.

Earlier on August 31, Majumdar was admitted to a private hospital in Cuttack’s CDA area in critical condition after he fell ill. The popular musician-composer was first admitted to a private medical facility in Cuttack after his Sodium level in the body dropped significantly. Subsequently, he was shifted to the private hospital in CDA for further treatment.
