An Odisha Auxiliary Police Force (OAPF) Jawan, on night duty, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Rayagada’s Sesakhal area on early Thursday morning. His body was recovered from the roadside in Sesakhal early this morning.
The deceased has been identified as Gauri Tadingi, who was serving at the Rayagada Town Police Station.
According to sources, Gauri had completed his night patrolling duty yesterday. His body was later found near a forested area close to the ITI Training Center, Pitamahal village, under the jurisdiction of the Sesakhal police.

The local police promptly reached the site after receiving information and recovered the body. It has been sent for post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. At present, the circumstances leading to his death remain unclear. Even as there is no sign of any injuries in the body, locals suspect something fishy.
However, family members revealed that Gauri had been unwell for a few days. However, he continued to attend duty. Gauri’s untimely demise has sent shockwaves in the local area and among colleagues in the police force.
Police officials have not yet provided any official comment regarding the incident, and the investigation is ongoing to ascertain whether it was due to natural causes, illness, or any other factor.
