A closed-door meeting led by former Congress leader Mohammed Moquim was held at Kuakhai in Jajpur district on Tuesday, triggering widespread political speculation. Moquim, who was earlier expelled from the Congress party for anti party activities, attended the meeting along with several senior leaders and party workers.
The meeting was conducted behind closed doors, and no official statement was issued afterwards, adding to the suspense surrounding the discussions.
The meeting has gained significance amid strong speculation about the possible formation of a new political party. According to sources, 30 leaders from seven Assembly constituencies of Jajpur district and representatives from 10 blocks participated in the discussions.
It is learnt that the meeting focused on organisational planning and deliberations related to forming a new political outfit. Party workers and leaders actively took part in the discussions.
