“About 5-6 miscreants came to my eatery at around 11.30 PM and brandished firearms, and broke the furniture. Without uttering a word, they severely beat me and my staff. We could not retaliate as they had firearms,” the Dhaba owner, Ashish Kumar Pradhan, said.

“Some bike-borne youths entered the premises with lathis and firearms when we were about to close the hotel. What I think, the youths were in an inebriated condition. The hotel owner Ashish Pradhan, aka Bubu Bhai, was first confronted by them. They pushed him to the ground and beat and kicked him,” the eatery manager, Subhasish Samal, stated.

“I was standing nearby. The youths immediately put a firearm on my chest, and I got scared. I became perturbed and could not decide what to do,” Subhasish expressed.

However, no comments were received from the local police in this regard.
