In a decisive move against unlawful medical practices, Gunupur Sub-Collector Dudhal Abhishek Dillip conducted sudden raids on several illegal medical stores and pathology labs in Gudari under Rayagada district. The operation unfolded while the Sub-Collector was touring the area for an official government programme, prompting an immediate inspection of suspicious establishments.

During the verification process, authorities discovered several serious irregularities in the paperwork of Tul Patholab and Medical Store. Officials reported discrepancies ranging from missing mandatory documents to activities that clearly violated medical regulations.

Erring Facilities Sealed on the Spot

Following the findings, the Sub-Collector, exercising his administrative authority, ordered the immediate sealing of the pathology lab and medical store. The swift action was aimed at preventing further illegal medical practices and safeguarding public health.

Present during the raids were the Gudari Tahsildar, who was on duty as Magistrate, the Drug Inspector, and the local Medical Officer, who assisted in the inspection and sealing process. Their combined presence ensured a coordinated and legally accountable enforcement operation.

"We went to the clinic, which was run without any licence or the presence of a doctor. The inspector came and started checking things. Based on the deviation, action has been taken against the clinic. We will take action against all those clinics that are being running illegally and against the doctors who are running them illegally," said Dudhal Abhishek Dillip, Sub-Collector, Gunupur.

The crackdown has sent a strong message across the region that illegal and unsafe medical operations will not be tolerated. With the administration stepping up inspections, residents are reassured that strict action will continue against those endangering public health.
