The move aims to take rural schools forward in the field of smart education. These Smart TVs are loaded with complete syllabi aligned with local education boards. Through audio-visual learning, students can listen, watch, and retain lessons more effectively.

The system is especially helpful for schools facing a shortage of teachers or difficulties in regular classroom teaching. Students in such schools can continue their studies using Smart TV-based lessons, ensuring uninterrupted and improved learning outcomes.

“What children see, they remember easily; and what they do, they understand properly. Through Smart TVs, students can now listen, watch, and memorise lessons more effectively,” Kendrapara District Education Officer (DEO), Pabitra Mohan Barik, said.

“A Smart TV was previously given to our school by the MP (Baijayant Panda). The Smart TV had benefitted the students of our school a lot. This (electronic device) has immense usefulness for gaining practical knowledge, since this is an age of digitalisation (digital technology),” headmistress of the school, Rubina Pradhan, stated.

“Earlier, schoolchildren used to gain only theoretical knowledge. Besides, when any of our teachers is on leave, and there is an arranged class, any other teacher can play a video on the Smart TV, and the children can learn from it,” the headmistress added.
