His remarks, made in a recent video, have sparked widespread debate and criticism across various sections of society.

He alleged that the curse originated from an incident where Radharani, on her way to see Lord Krishna in the form of Lord Jagannath, was stopped by temple servitors who told her that the consort of the Lord was not allowed to enter the sanctum. Based on this narrative, he claimed that Radharani became angry and cursed the temple.

These statements have not been received well in Puri. Several devotees, locals, and traditional scholars have condemned the remarks, calling them inaccurate, misleading, and disrespectful to the centuries-old history and rituals of the temple.

Many have argued that such comments distort religious traditions and hurt the public sentiment attached to the Jagannath cult.

Sevayats and devotees demanded that influencers like Mishra should exercise responsibility when discussing sensitive subjects related to Sri Jagannath and refrain from spreading myths that could mislead the public.
