With no significant synoptic system lying in the region, dry weather is very likely to prevail in different parts of Odisha during the next seven days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted on Sunday.

Maximum temperature may not witness a large change during the next 6 to 7 days over the districts of Odisha. Minimum temperature may not also undergo a large change during the same period over the districts of Odisha.
In its evening bulletin, the IMD said, “Maximum temperature has observed appreciable rise by about 2°C at one or two places and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were below normal by about 2°C at one or two places, above normal by about 2-3°C at a few places and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha.”
“Minimum Temperature has observed a marked rise by about 4-5°C at one or two places, appreciable rise by about 2-3°C at one or two places and no large change at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha. They were below normal by about 2°C at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, appreciably above normal by about 4°C at one or two places over the districts of Interior Odisha, above normal by about 2-3°C at many places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, at a few places over the districts of Interior Odisha and normal at elsewhere over the districts of Odisha,” the IMD regional centre mentioned.
“The highest maximum (day) temperature of 36.8°C was recorded yesterday at Jharsuguda, and the lowest minimum (night) temperature of 13.0°C was recorded at Nabarangpur in the plains of Odisha,” the meteorological department stated.
