“I went to college without finishing the homework because I was sick. Faculties often punish students for such reasons, but the incident was more severe this time,” the student alleged.

He further claimed that students are sometimes made to stand outside the classroom for extended periods if they arrive late.

Lecturer’s Response

The lecturer admitted that he had punished the student but said it was not intentional to cause harm.

“I had assigned homework, and one of the students had not completed it. I acted in anger and accidentally hit him harder than intended. I apologised and realise it was a mistake,” he said, denying allegations of regularly beating students.
