In a significant development, a major operation has been undertaken in Jagatsinghpur to oust illegal Bangladeshi nationals.
As per reports, police have raided the residence of Sikandar Alam, the prime accused in providing rented accommodation to Bangladeshis. The raid was conducted at Sikandar’s house located in the Dhanipur slum.
An Additional SP and the SDPO, along with two platoons of police force, have been deployed at the spot. The search operation at the location has been intensified.
A marathon search drive is continuing across the coastal areas to track and expel illegal Bangladeshi entrants. Jagatsinghpur Police have tightened the crackdown to prevent infiltration and take strict action against the intruders.

"The matter is under investigation and many details can't be divulged. The family members of the accused are cooperating in the matter, and there is nothing to be concerned about. No motorcycle has been seized, and only some basic documents have been seized," said Jagatsinghpur SDPO Ajinkya Mane.
Notably, following the arrest of a suspected Bangladeshi in Jagatsinghpur district, a large-scale operation is underway across Odisha to identify and detain suspected Bangladeshi infiltrators. Police have launched coordinated crackdowns in multiple districts, acting on strict instructions from the State government.
