Bhubaneswar Dhauli minor’s gang rape: Police recreate crime scene along Daya River

Commissionerate Police on Thursday carried out a crime scene recreation in connection with the gang-rape of a minor girl at the Daya River embankment under Dhauli police limits in Bhubaneswar.

The recreation was conducted by the prime accused, Satya Prakash Hati alias Joker Happy, to verify the sequence of events and gather crucial evidence.

According to officials, two associates of the prime accused are still on the run, and efforts are underway to trace and arrest them.

Previous Arrests Made in the Case

Hati was recently arrested in Ganjam by a joint team of the Special Squad and Dhauli police after remaining absconding since the incident. The prime accused, Joker Happy, has more than 20 criminal cases registered against him.

Earlier, police had arrested two other accused, identified as Vibhu Prasad Mishra and Kalandi Patra, in connection with the case.

The alleged crime took place on December 10 near the Dhauli Shanti Stupa area under the jurisdiction of Dhauli police station. Police reports stated that the minor girl and her male friend were intercepted by three accused while standing along a roadside near the riverbank.
