Bears wander onto Odisha’s Nuapada railway station; watch

In a surprising and unusual sighting, three bears were spotted on the platform of Nuapada railway station late Wednesday night. 

The incident occurred at approximately 4:26 AM, causing alarm among early morning passengers and railway staff.

According to reports, the bears appeared suddenly on the platform, wandering around cautiously. Witnesses said the unexpected presence of the wild animals created a tense atmosphere as commuters hurried to maintain a safe distance.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the encounter, and the bears eventually moved away from the immediate vicinity of the station, sources informed.

Railway authorities have since alerted the local forest department about the incident. Officials emphasised the need for caution and advised passengers to avoid approaching wildlife.

The forest department has confirmed that such sightings, while rare, can occur in areas bordering forested regions, especially during early morning or late-night hours when animals search for food.
