Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in Odisha on March 5 for a two-day official visit. In preparation, a crucial high-level meeting was convened on Monday at the DGP camp office to review security arrangements.

The key meeting was attended by Law & Order and Crime Branch DG Vinaytosh Mishra, ADG Sanjay Kumar, Director of Intelligence RP Koche, Coastal Security ADG Arun Bothra, and IG Training Anup Kumar Sahoo.
Discussions focused on strengthening law enforcement readiness, intelligence coordination, and coastal vigilance to ensure smooth and secure proceedings during the minister’s visit.
According to the itinerary, Home Minister Shah will arrive at Bhubaneswar airport on the evening of March 5 (Thursday). His official engagements will commence on March 6 with his participation in key events in Cuttack, Jatani and Bhubaneswar.
On the morning of March 6, the Union Home Minister will attend the ‘CISF Raising Day’ programme at Mundali in Cuttack. The event marks the foundation day of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and is observed with ceremonial proceedings and official addresses.
In the afternoon, Shah is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory campus at Jatni. He will also virtually inaugurate the NFSU transit campus.
Later in the day, Minister Shah will inaugurate the Naveen Nyaya Sanhita exhibition at IDCO Exhibition Ground. The programme will also include the laying of foundation stones and the inauguration of projects related to the Cooperation Department and other departments.
Extensive administrative and security arrangements have been made in view of the Union Minister’s visit. A preparatory meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg was earlier held to review the arrangements and ensure smooth conduct of the scheduled programmes.
