Snake Rescue Team Steps In
Upon receiving the information, Malik and his team rushed to the spot and carried out a careful rescue operation. Using specialised equipment and techniques, the team successfully secured the python without causing injury to the reptile or to the villagers watching nearby.
The python was later transported to Sunabeda Sanctuary, where it was released into a safe, protected environment. Officials confirmed that the rescued snake weighed around 17 kilograms.
Ensuring Safety & Conservation
Forest officials appreciated the quick response of both the villagers and the rescue team, highlighting that such coordinated efforts are crucial for wildlife protection. They also urged the public to report similar incidents promptly instead of attempting to handle wild animals themselves.
The timely rescue not only ensured the safety of the villagers but also protected an important species of the region’s ecosystem. The python’s safe release into the sanctuary stands as a positive example of responsible wildlife conservation.
