In a moment of immense pride for the Odisha Police, 17 distinguished officers and personnel have been honoured with the prestigious ‘Kendriya Grih Mantri Dakshata Padak 2025’ in recognition for their exceptional dedication, bravery, and professionalism in investigation and special operations.

Among the awardees, Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) Anil Kumar Das, Inspector Himanshu Bhushan Swain, and Inspector Dhabaleshwar Sahu have been conferred with the honour for their outstanding performance and excellence in the field of investigation. Their meticulous work, perseverance, and commitment to upholding justice have set remarkable standards within the force.

The Director General of Police (DGP), Odisha, extended heartfelt congratulations to all the medal winners, appreciating their relentless service, integrity, and devotion to duty that continue to bring laurels to the state police. 

The prestigious award also recognises the gallant efforts of former SP, Nuapada, Gundala Reddy Raghavendra, IPS, who is presently serving as SP, Jharsuguda, along with several members of the Special Operations Group (SOG) for their exceptional bravery and distinguished service in combating extremism and ensuring peace in challenging terrains.

The SOG awardees include SI Deepak Kumar Naik, SI Manoj Dungdung, Havildar Miniketan Jued, Havildar Rabindra Oram, Commando Bharat Sen, Commando Pradeep Kumar, Commando Dharmendra Bhoi, Commando Himal Shrestha, Commando Govinda Karki, Commando Ritesh Kumar Negi, Commando Chittaranjan Jhankar, Commando Tanuja Dharua, and Commando Udhaba Nayak.
