Bolangir: Punjilal Meher, the key accused in the Patnagarh wedding gift blast case was allegedly thrashed inside Bolangir jail by the concerned jailor.
The lawyer of Meher has brought such allegations and reported the matter to Patnagarh SDJM court. The lawyer has also prayed for necessary steps for the treatment of his client.
On February 8, 2019 Punjulal Meher was shifted to Bolangir jail from Patnagarh sub-jail. Punjilal was shifted to Bolangir jail following allegations that he was inciting other inmates of Patnagarh sub-jail.
Punjilal was arrested on April 24, 2018 for his alleged involvement in the parcel bomb blast case in which newly-wed groom Soumyasekhar and his grandmother were killed.
