Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police on Sunday busted a sex racket which was operating from a hotel at AIIMS Nagar under Khandagiri police limits in Bhubaneswar.
Acting on a tip-off, a special team of Commissionerate raided the hotel and arrested six persons including two middlemen and four customers.
Six girls, who reportedly hail from West Bengal, have been rescued. However, the kingpin of the sex racket managed to flee the spot.
Several objectionable items including some cash have also been seized during the raid.
The owner of the hotel has been detained and further investigation in this connection is underway. More details are awaited.
