Balasore: One person was killed in yet another elephant attack in the Panchalingeswar region near the Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary in Nilagiri, as per reports.
The deceased has been identified as Ram Samal, a resident of the Juriapatana village. Ram had gone to the forest in search for firewood, when he was attacked by an elephant. He reportedly died on spot. Meanwhile, the Forest Department officials reached the site for inquiry.
These man-elephant conflicts are not uncommon in this region and reportedly numerous attacks have been witnessed in recent times.
