Loot Inside Canara Bank: Miscreants Decamp With Rs 1.5 Lakh From Customer At Gunpoint

Bhubaneswar: Unidentified miscreants on Saturday looted Rs 1.5 lakh from a customer inside Canara bank premises at Godibandha area under Kanpur police limits of Cuttack district.

As per reports, two masked men entered the bank premises and looted a bag containing cash from the customer who had reportedly come to the branch to deposit the cash.

Sources said three miscreants were involved in the cash loot incident. The trio reportedly fled the scene on a two-wheeler after committing the crime.

The incident has now raised questions over the security measures at the bank. A complaint in connection with the incident has been registered and police have launched a probe.

The bank officials were not available for comments on the matter.
