Rising above disability, Nimain Charan Sahu, who happens to be both deaf and mute, is running a small but efficient business in the town of Bolangir. His auto servicing centre in Satyanarayan Pada is not only a sought after point among locals to wash their vehicles, but it has also now become the inspiring tale of entrepreneurship that many would want to follow.

Lakheswar Sahu, a customer of Nimain says, “He charges a reasonable rate to wash vehicles and not overpriced like other service centres. Besides we love his behaviour as well.”
Sahu is the only bread earner in his family with his wife and daughter. He communicates in sign language only, and neither his family nor his customers in the service centre have any complaint regarding his behaviour. He is a perfect family man for his wife and a perfect business owner for his customers.
His better half, Swapna says, “I don’t face any problem whatsoever with him. We communicate through video calls in mobile phone while away.”
Chaitanya Sahu, Nimain’s brother, however, rues the fact that the government never has looked out for divyangs like him. He has demanded monetary assistance from the government so that Nimain can expand his business and employ more divyang people who are otherwise left to beg on streets.
People near to him say that Nimain started this service centre some 15 years back and gradually climbed stairs of success through sheer determination and hard work.
