Bhubaneswar: Odisha government on Tuesday revised the prices of RT-PCR test, the confirmatory test for COVID-19, to Rs 1200 per test.
As per a notification issued by the State Health and Family Welfare Department, the COVID-19 test can only be done by several ICMR approved private laboratories.
As per the Health department, private individuals desirous of COVID-19 test can get the tests done at four approved lab of ICMR:
1. Department of Lab Services (Apollo Hospitals) Bhubaneswar
3. InDNA Life Sciences Pvt Ltd (2nd floor, KIIT TBI, Bhubaneswar)
4. GenX Diagnostics (Sahid Nagar), Bhubaneswar
Earlier, the State government had fixed the prices of RT-PCR test at maximum of Rs 2,200 per test at the ICMR approved private laboratories.
Meanwhile, Odisha on Tuesday conducted 58338 COVID-19 tests - RT-PCR (7813), Antigen (50449), TruNat (76).
Meanwhile, 2,752 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the State today taking the tally to 84,231. The death toll has also risen to 428 as nine more patients succumbed to the disease.
Of the new cases, 1,708 were reported from quarantine centres and 1044 are local contact cases.
