Miscreants tie up SDO, loot Rs 2.5 lakh from Nesco office

Baripada: Armed miscreants have looted Rs 2.5 lakh and a laptop from Nesco office at Khunta Bazar area in Udala late Friday night.

According to reports, five miscreants barged into the office and after tying up the sub-divisional officer (SDO), Prasanna Kumar, looted cash and other valuables.

Official sources said, after tying up the hands and legs of Prasanna inside a room, the miscreants looted the cash kept in the iron chest.

Following the incident, senior police officials have rushed to the spot and started investigation into the incident.
