Miscreants loot Rs 2.4 lakh from trader in Balasore

Balasore: Unidentified miscreants looted Rs 2.4 lakh from a rice trader after attacking him at Talanagar under Soro police limits in Balasore district on Friday night.

The incident occurred at around 9:30 pm yesterday when the trader, identified as Sukadev Nayak was returning after collecting cash from various customers. Two miscreants in a bike intercepted Nayak, attacked him and decamped with the cash.

A group of passersby later rescued Nayak from the spot and admitted him to Soro hospital. Meanwhile, a case has been registered and police have started investigation into the incident.
