Bhubaneswar ‘Gang Rape’ Case Probe: HC directs Commissionerate Police To Submit Status Report

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court on Monday directed the Commissionerate Police to submit a status report in connection with the investigation into the alleged gang rape of a minor girl in Bhubaneswar.

The court issued the direction while hearing a petition filed before it seeking transfer of the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the incident.

The Court has also issued notices to all concerned parties, directing them to furnish their replies at the earliest. The next hearing in the matter has been fixed on September 30.
