Bhubaneswar Covid-19 Tally Hits Grim Milestone Of 10000 Cases

Bhubaneswar: With 515 more persons testing positive for Covid-19 under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) in the last 24 hours, the positive case tally in the Odisha Capital surged past 10,000 mark. The total cases in the capital city now stand at 10,021.

According to the data shared by the civic body, apart from 515 new cases the city also reported one Covid-19 related death. Besides, 297 persons infected with the virus have recovered and are being discharged from hospitals.

While 6061 persons have so far been recovered from the disease, the city’s active caseload stands at 3910. Moreover, 41 patients have lost their lives due to the virus in the city so far.

As far as Covid-19 cases in Odisha are concerned, the total case count breached one lakh-mark today to reach 1,00,934 with 3014 new infections.

The COVID-19 death toll also rose to 482 with 12 more positive patients succumbing to the disease, according to the State Health and Family Welfare Department.
