A western disturbance is seen as a cyclonic circulation over north Pakistan in lower and middle tropospheric levels with an induced cyclonic circulation over East Rajasthan in lower tropospheric levels. Under its influence, isolated light rainfall/snowfall activity is likely over the Western Himalayan Region till February 3, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday.

Forecast of Temperature:

- No significant change in minimum temperatures is expected over the Western Himalayan region during the next 2 days and a gradual rise by 2-3℃ during the subsequent 3 days.

- Gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3℃ is likely over the plains of Northwest India during the next 4-5 days.

- Gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-3℃ is expected over Maharashtra during the next 3 days and no significant change thereafter.

- No significant change in minimum temperatures is likely over West India during the next 2 days and fall by 2-3℃ during the subsequent 3 days.

- No significant change in minimum temperatures is expected over Central India during the next 3 hours and fall by 2-3℃ thereafter.

Dense Fog Warnings:

As per the predictions, dense to very dense fog conditions are very likely to continue to prevail during night/early morning hours in some pockets of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on February 2.

Besides, dense fog conditions are very likely to continue to prevail during night/early morning hours in isolated pockets of Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Sikkim on February 2; Bihar, Odisha, Assam and Meghalaya till February 3; Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on February 3.
