The people of Odisha should brace themselves as temperature are predicted to climb over the coming days. Beginning today, the state is expected to experience a rise in temperature by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius within the next 24 hours, according to forecasts from the Regional Meteorological Centre.

In western Odisha, where temperatures could reach the 40 degrees Celsius mark, residents are advised to stay cautious. Other districts in the region are also likely to experience similar conditions, approaching the 40-degree threshold.

Thunderstorms and Rain Relief

However, there might be some respite for certain areas as pre-monsoon thunderstorms, are expected to bring rainfall and winds to districts including Koraput, Malkangiri, Rayagada, Gajapati, and Ganjam today. The Meteorological Department forecasts that until 10 April, sporadic rain and thunderstorms are likely in various parts of the state due to these weather patterns.

Additionally, a cyclonic circulation persists over the southeastern Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas, potentially leading to a low-pressure area forming within the next 24 hours.
