Several parts of Odisha are currently reeling under intense heat conditions due to weak monsoon flow. Chandbali recorded the highest maximum temperature of 37.2 degree Celsius on Wednesday. Such conditions likely to prevail for another 3-4 days in the state.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued an alert for thunderstorm with lightning in several parts of Odisha in the next 24 hours.
Light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj in the next 24 hours.
