Following a substantial rise in the minimum or night temperature, several parts of Odisha are now currently experiencing shallow to moderate fog. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday predicted that there will be no large change in the minimum temperature for the next four to five days in the state.
The IMD has also issued a yellow alert for dense fog in several parts of the state for the next three days.

Day 1 (Valid upto 0830 hrs IST of 26.01.2025): Shallow to moderate fog is very likely to occur during early morning hours at a few places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Cuttack, Puri, Khorda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati and at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Keonjhargarh, Deogarh, Sundargarh, Angul, Koraput, Nuapada, Jharsuguda.
Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khorda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh, Keonjhargarh, Angul.
Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 26.01.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 27.01.2025)
Yellow Warning: Dense fog is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Cuttack, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sundargarh.
Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 27.01.2025 to 0830 hrs IST of 28.01.2025)
